At Fundação Arte e Cultura, we believe that creativity has the power to transform lives. Social mobility—giving people the chance to grow, succeed, and create a better future—lies at the heart of our work. Through our arts and culture centers, we open doors to opportunity by expanding access to culture, nurturing essential life skills, and fostering safe, inclusive spaces where communities can connect and grow.
But our impact goes beyond artistic expression. By turning creativity into opportunity, we create real pathways for income, employment, and empowerment. From women’s cooperatives and carpentry workshops to music production and sustainable partnerships, our programs generate skills, confidence, and livelihoods—reinvesting directly into the communities we serve. This is how art drives social change: by inspiring expression, building resilience, and creating lasting opportunities for the future
Many women in Luanda face limited access to education and professional skills, making financial independence challenging. The Women’s Sewing Cooperative addresses this by providing materials and business training, enabling participants — including some who begin in our Sewing for All program — to create handmade products for local and international markets. While earning income, women also reinvest in the cooperative, ensuring its sustainability. This initiative fosters creativity, confidence, and solidarity, while opening real pathways to economic empowerment, social mobility, and long-term impact.

The Carpentry Workshop empowers at-risk youth by providing hands-on training in woodworking—from design to building and pricing products for sale. Many young people face limited opportunities, with few pathways to economic independence. Through the workshop, participants gain practical skills, confidence, and business know-how, preparing them for self-employment or small business development. Products are made from donated materials and sold to support both the participants and the Foundation’s programs in arts, culture, and education.
Our spaces — including the Tamar Golan Gallery and the Wyza Amphitheater — are open for rental to host cultural events, workshops, and corporate gatherings. Choosing our venues not only provides you with professional and inspiring spaces but also supports programs that are part of our social responsability.
Whether you are an artist looking for fair representation, a business seeking meaningful partnerships, or a community member wanting to engage in cultural life, your participation directly contributes to shared sustainability and long-term impact.

A fully equipped creative space where young musicians learn, produce, and record. The studio supports artistic development and opens professional pathways in Angola’s growing creative economy.
In addition to training, the studio is also available for rental by local and international artists, music producers, and cultural projects. Revenue from rentals contributes to the sustainability of Fundação’s programs — reinvesting into education, access, and community empowerment through music.
