The School of Arts is the beating heart of the Art and Culture Foundation. It embodies two of the institution’s strongest commitments: educating and transforming lives through art. More than a learning space, the School is a sanctuary of dreams, talent, and possibility—where every gesture, color, and sound finds meaning. Officially inaugurated on February 28, 2020, the School grew from a seed planted long before. In the years leading up to its opening, the Foundation offered classes and workshops in various artistic and non-artistic fields at Reception and Education Centers in Luanda, bringing hope and knowledge to hundreds of children and young people. Today, the School’s classrooms and studios pulse with energy and creativity. Courses span Urban Dance, Recycling, English, Academic Support, Percussion and Drums, Guitar, Visual Arts, Piano, Theater, Singing, Basketball, Traditional and Contemporary Dance, Ballet, and Computer Skills. Since the beginning of its activities, approximately 3,628 children and adolescents between the ages of 6 and 17 have taken part in this journey. Every student who joins our classes carries a story, a rhythm, a dream. Together, these dreams shape the School of Arts into a symbol of hope and social transformation. In the 2024–2025 academic year, 16 dedicated teachers are inspiring 1,048 students across 17 classes and 14 courses. Beyond teaching, the School uncovers and nurtures talent. Many of our students continue on to pursue careers in the arts and sports, taking the Foundation’s name to new horizons. Among our proudest achievements are six former students who now attend the Arts School Complex and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Luanda, studying Dance, Theater, Piano, Visual and Fine Arts, and Fashion Design—young people who began with us and now walk forward with the spark of accomplishment in their eyes.

The School of Arts of the Fundação Arte e Cultura is more than an educational project—it is a movement of faith in Angolan talent, a space where art heals, teaches, and transforms. Here, we believe that every child carries within them an artist waiting to be discovered, and every note, every stroke, every dance step is a seed of the future taking root.
