The Cultural Center is a living extension of Fundação Arte e Cultura ‘s mission: to promote artistic expression, cultural exchange, and community engagement. More than just a venue, it is a place where creativity inspires, educates, and transforms lives, strengthening Angola’s cultural identity.
At its heart are two landmark spaces: the Tamar Golan Gallery, a leading platform for contemporary Angolan art that connects emerging and established artists with the public, and the Wyza Amphitheater, a dynamic hub for music, theater, dance, film, and community gatherings. Together, they create opportunities for learning, dialogue, and professional growth, while making art accessible to all.
From exhibitions and performances to workshops and public events, the Cultural Center celebrates the richness of Angola’s heritage and the power of culture to drive social change and bring people together.
Since 2013, the Tamar Golan Gallery has been a vital platform for contemporary Angolan art. Part of Fundação Arte e Cultura in Luanda, it launches emerging talents while honoring established artists, providing visibility, professional support, and international exposure. Beyond exhibitions, the gallery hosts workshops, lectures, and community programs that inspire young people, foster cultural pride, and drive social transformation. Named after journalist and diplomat Dr. Tamar Golan, it carries forward her vision of celebrating Angolan creativity and building cultural bridges that empower communities.

Since 2019, the Wyza Amphitheater in Luanda has been a vibrant cultural hub. Transformed from an old swimming pool, it hosts concerts, theater, dance, film, and multidisciplinary performances, bringing diverse audiences together. It also provides a professional space for artists and entrepreneurs to create and showcase work. A highlight is the annual Ponte Cultural, fostering collaboration between Angolan and international artists. Named after musician Wyza Kendi, the Amphitheater welcomes the community to celebrate art, host lectures and events, and enrich cultural life on Ilha de Luanda, supporting Fundação Arte e Cultura’s mission of social transformation.
