Since 2006, Fundação Arte e Cultura has worked to harness the transformative power of art and culture to strengthen communities in Angola. Our center on Ilha de Luanda is a vibrant hub where over 1,000 children, young people, and adults access free opportunities in music, literacy, digital skills, and creative expression every day. Recognized nationally and partnered with institutions such as INAC, UNICEF, and UNESCO, we continue to promote social mobility, cultural identity, and long-term community resilience.
At Fundação Arte e Cultura, we believe education, art, and culture are powerful tools for shaping lives and communities. Even before the official inauguration of the School of Art and Culture on February 28, 2020, our work in this field was already underway—offering artistic and non-artistic classes in community centers and schools across Luanda.
The Cultural Center is a living extension of Fundação Arte e Cultura 's mission: to promote artistic expression, cultural exchange, and community engagement. More than just a venue, it is a place where creativity inspires, educates, and transforms lives, strengthening Angola’s cultural identity.
At Fundação Arte e Cultura, we believe that creativity has the power to transform lives. Social mobility—giving people the chance to grow, succeed, and create a better future—lies at the heart of our work. Through our arts and culture centers, we open doors to opportunity by expanding access to culture, nurturing essential life skills, and fostering safe, inclusive spaces where communities can connect and grow.
At Fundação Arte e Cultura, empowerment starts with opportunity. Through education, vocational training, and creative programs, we provide safe and inclusive spaces where individuals and communities can connect, grow, and thrive.

Documentation is one of the most powerful tools of our time. It reflects history, preserves cultural roots, and ensures that future generations can access this invaluable heritage. Many of Angola’s treasures — from vinyl records and cassettes to traditional dances and oral histories — exist only in fragile formats that risk disappearing forever. Through E-ZOMBA, we digitize rare recordings and document living culture, including filmed interviews, photographs, biographies, and information on musical styles, composers, and lyricists. This work safeguards Angola’s identity, memory, and artistic legacy while making it accessible to national and international audiences.

Fundação Arte e Cultura empowers individuals through creativity, culture, and education—strengthening communities and reducing reliance on external support. After years of experience, we developed the Blueprint for Impact, a model that shows how culture and sustainability can drive meaningful change and inspire new foundations worldwide.
